Second Families
It is becoming more and more common for people to have second families. This situation has the potential to give rise to a great deal of unfairness and dispute and frequently does. The problems that arise however can usually be either solved or mitigated by the use of trusts and wills.
These can prevent disputes in a cost effective way. We can deal with most sets of circumstances but it is usual to preserve a home/income for the surviving spouse but protect capital for the children and this can be divided among the various families.
