Trusts
A Trust is an arrangement whereby assets are transferred to individuals (the trustees) who look after these for the benefit of another person or persons (the beneficiaries). They can be created during someone’s lifetime or after their death and can take a number of different forms and are established for a variety of reasons. A few examples of when trusts are established may be to safeguard assets for future members of the family, for tax planning purposes or for the management of assets on behalf of a group of people. An increasing number of our clients are taking advantage of pilot trusts for flexible long term wealth preservation. Whatever the circumstances of the trust Arnison Heelis can offer specialist advice to help establish the trust that is right for you.
A trustee of a trust also has a number of wide ranging duties in their management of a trust and Arnison Heelis can advise trustees on their role, responsibility and obligations and can assist the trustees in carrying out their duties.
